Call for Submission

International University Student Short Film Competition of Macau is a relatively independent event of Macau International Film Festival, hosted by the Organizing Committee of the Festival in Macau, in December every year. It is launched with the purpose of seeking talented directors, inspiring university students’ passion and creativity of film-making, paying close attention to the high quality of the short films and developing new media.

The festival is now seeking submissions for the Student Film Competition. International University Student Short Film Competition of Macau is open to university students all over the world.

The short films must be the participants’ original work, and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Participants must have all required permissions regarding music, sound and/or images presented in short films.

Short films for the competition is divided into four genres: feature films, documentary films, animation films and experimental films.

The maximum running time of the short films is 40 minutes, and they have to be subtitled in English and/or Chinese.

All the participants must fill out the Entry Form clearly and completely, with accurate and truthful information. Entry forms can be downloaded, printed out or photocopied from the competition website at www.mtm.mo.

Deadline for registration and shipment of the compulsory material: October 30, 2011 (Material sent with the postmark of the deadline date will be accepted).
