Top 10 Box Office Films of 2010

China’s domestic box office hit all-time high in 2010. For the first time in Chinese film history, Chinese cinemas raked in more than 10 billion yuan (10.17167 billion, close to 1.7 billion U.S. dollars) in box-office revenue in 2010, according to the Film Bureau of the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (SARFT), a dramatic jump of 63.9% compared to the 2009 figure.

As more urban Chinese are accustomed to going to the cinema, more screens and cinemas were added in 2010. Mainland China now has 6,000 professional screens in total.

The following is the list of the Top 10 Box Office Films of 2010 (in Chinese yuan); notice that 5 Hollywood blockbusters made the list:
